Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) is an artistically driven ultra boutique cigar company creating cigars out of their Oveja Negra Brands factory operating in Esteli, Nicaragua. Their cigars often exemplify artistic flair on the wrappers and similarly inspired blending and naming conventions. In general, they are focused on creating uniquely bold and inventive flavor and vitola profiles.
In 2015 James Brown, owner of Black Label Trading Co., launched Black Works Studio and the Killer Bee cigar bringing a new level of forward thinking "cigartistry" to the industry.
Killer Bee cigars have intense and powerful flavor profiles as well as beautiful horizontal wrapper designs (using contrasting wrapper leaves and colors) around/near the head. The Killer Bee Shaolin (Belicoso) has an ornate Barber Pole design showing three wrapper colors: a Mexican San Andres Maduro, an Ecuadorian Connecticut Colorado and an Ecuadorian Connecticut Candela. And it seems to smoke a little milder than its parejo counterparts with less wrapper tobaccos. It is collector quality "cigartistry" worthy of smoking.
