1502 Cigar company was founded in 2011 by Enrique Sanchez-Icaza, CEO of Global Premium Cigars. The name 1502 pays tribute to the year Christopher Columbus found Nicaragua and celebrates the country's extraordinary cigar making heritage. The 1502 Blue Sapphire line contains tobacco from the four main growing regions in Nicaragua: Condega, Esteli, Jalapa and Ometepe. It is a beautiful, medium-plus bodied cigar that exemplifies Nicaraguan cigar tobacco.
